Notes: Second Stage at Lollapalooza

From: Jonathan

This show was part of the Lollapalooza tour at DeerCreek Ampitheater in Indiana. Verve performed on the side stage just when A Tribe Called Quest went on the main stage. It was hot as hell and the majority of the audience was made up of frat guys who didn't seem to get it (judging by the looks on their faces). I think Pete (drummer) had a cst on his foot b/c of that incident with a bouncer. Richard was wearing a shirt that said "I Love Indianapolis." I have pictures to prove it. They played a new song "Mover" as well as "Come On." Some guy standing off to the side was playing keyboard handclaps during those songs. They only played about 40 minutes but it was still great to see and hear them outdoors, under the blue sky. I kept yelling for them to play "One Way To Go" (as I have the other times I've seen them, but they never played it). Best 40 minutes i had all summer.
