This was the first time I saw The Verve. Austin, TX. Backroom. I thought for sure it would be sold out. It wasn't tickets were only five bucks. I had already been a dedicated fan, and was really surprised at the venue and the ticket price.

Me and a group of friends went and saw the show on the paper trip. The Verve encounter of the first time was just beginning...

After they played an unbelievable set we were overwhelmed with the true joy of music, witch no band has even come close too. We went to our friends restaurant and could not stop talking about it. I had to go back to the venue. Missing another show would have been a tragic loss. The bus driver told us they were playing in Houston the next night @ The Goat Head Soup Bar. He said there was some pretty nasty weather ahead and that we should follow the bus. Being in the paper state we were I agreed. So we slaped the red Verve sticker he gave us on our car and were on our way. If it wasn't for the bus we would have never made it through the 4 hour journey of pouring rain and pitch blackness to Houston...
